Meet Ute Lawrence

Ute Lawrence Ute Lawrence is the Founder  of the first civilian Post Traumatic Stress Disorder Association in North America. An Executive and Personal Coach, Ms. Lawrence is also the founder and director of the Performance Enhancement Center in London, Canada, which offers seminars, workshops and speaking engagements on discovering and reaching one’s potential.  Ute is a keynote speaker on the power of trauma and the power of discovery.

Having experienced Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) in her own life, Ms. Lawrence is uniquely poised to present a new perspective within the field of PTSD. She was one of the survivors of the most horrific car-pile up in Canadian history in 1999.  Eighty-seven vehicles were involved in this tragedy that killed eight people. The trauma brought personal distress and the end of her twenty-two years as a magazine publisher.  She began a journey of self-discovery that led her to establish the first civilian Post Traumatic Stress Disorder Association in North America in 2006 and inspired her to write the book The Power of Trauma (iUniverse, April 2008).

Ms. Lawrence is a Corporate Coach U graduate and a licensed practitioner of a number of powerful transformational programs, including the Attraction Program. She is a HeartMath one-on-one provider. HeartMath is a system of powerful, easy-to-learn, easy-to-use tools and technology to prevent, manage, and reverse the effects of stress.

Ms. Lawrence is the visionary behind a profoundly transformational series called The Power of One Discovery©, a program that helpspeople build solid personal and professional foundations.  The Power of One Discovery© series offers practical and proven techniques online that can be implemented immediately and helps individuals achieve higher levels of performance while bringing out the best in themselves and those around them.

A member of the Professional Writer’s Association of Canada, Rotary International, and the International Coach Federation, Ms. Lawrence is also a founding member of the International Association of Coaching.  She currently serves as President of the Canadian Association of Professional Speaker’s South Western Ontario Chapter.

A student of Buddhism, Ms. Lawrence enjoys playing golf and tennis in her spare time and also likes to swim and hike near her home in London, Ontario.   The Power of Trauma is Lawrence’s first book and has been already been awarded the prestigious iUniverse Editor’s and Publisher’s Choice Awards.
